I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to share this very special post on your blog. You are such a selfless person being willing to share such an intimate and personal experience which has enriched my life and I am sure many others. Jodi, I was in tears almost the whole time I read this. I don't know how you managed to write it and I can't imagine how hard of a time it was for you.
You are very strong and Mike was very lucky to have you, I'm sure you feel the same about him.
I couldn't read this and then just click away without having said something...anything...even though I don't feel like I know the right thing to say.
I WILL however remember your advice of offering to call people if I should ever find myself in this situation.Thank you for sharing this.

I have been blog-hopping again, and found yours, originally just to your profile page, but when I saw this memorial, I chose to come here, first. This entire blog is a nice memorial to Mike, and has really touched me. You are blessed to have Ariana as a living memorial to him, as Two became One in her.

As a nurse, I have seen many stories like yours in real life, and I have to agree that "Is there anyone I can call?" is one of the perfect questions to ask.

I could hear your pain in the statement "Oh, God, not like this!" I cannot imagine the shock, and all of the other feelings that had to have come charging you at that moment, including denial, sadness, guilt, anger, fear, etc. I hope you are ok today.

I raised three alone after a totally different set of circumstances, and now have four grandkids. I will pray for you and Ariana.

I hope you finish your schooling for RN (have not read the other blog, so you may have...?) for while it is a very difficult career and can be very exhausting in many ways, it is also very rewarding.

I know you wrote this almost 2 months ago but I just found it tonight. I can feel your pain in the post as if it just happened, not 4 years ago. I am sitting here in tears just like when my neighbor called to say her husband had passed in the night, just 2 weeks ago........
